I just want my mom back. I know there are millions of other people in this country who feel the same way right now -- whether it's their parent, grandparent, sibling, or best friend, I think we all just want our loved ones back.
We each get one shot at this whole life thing. In the end, the boxes we force ourselves to fit into and the labels we apply to ourselves won't matter, so why put so much time and energy into fitting into places other people want you to be? Why not instead spend that time and energy finding a place in this world that feels right and comfortable for you?
It is devastating to know how greatly the arts in general have been hurt by this pandemic, but because almost all artists rely on interaction with the public to express themselves, especially if they want to make a living, it's not all that surprising. Still, it stings.
